Visions Of My Mother

Pinchas has a photographic memory -- and no physical documentation of his family from before or after World War 2. His mothers recipes, which he remembers from childhood, are the most tangible way for him to connect to the memory of his family, all of whom were murdered in the Holocaust. As Pinchas creates this dish, he is bringing memories of his past into the present with his wife Dorothy, evoking bitter sweet memories in the process.
