The 2013 Spring/Summer edition of Shanghai Fashion Week has kicked off to a glamorous start. Taking place in a trendy neighbourhood of Shanghai the 10th anniversary of the event will see 7 days of catwalk collections. Not only is the event a showcase for new Chinese talent and Chinese established designers such as Dorian Ho -- one of the most renowned designers in Hong Kong, but it will also host a few international designers as well. Gracing the catwalks will be collections from famous wedding dress specialist New-York based Vera Wang and Brit designer Nathan Jenden who has designed clothing for Madonna among others: Nathan Jenden, British Fashion designer: "I'm here, I'm opening stores here. So I'm just in the middle of opening my first 2 stores here, and I'm planing to open I think another 7 next year, so that's why I'm here. And I've been coming to China for about 8 or 10 years." Organisers of the event are hoping that in coming years it will expand as more foreign brands open up shop in Shanghai to cash in on the booming economy.
