Prince Harry Sent to Afghanistan after Nude Photos Leak: 'Harry Wales' a Helicopter Gunner
Third in line to the British throne, Prince Harry, has begun a four-month tour of duty in Afghanistan. He is the first member of the royal family to serve in a war zone since his uncle Prince Andrew flew as a helicopter pilot in the Falklands conflict of 1982. Captain Harry Wales, as he is known in the military, will serve as a gunner aboard an attack helicopter. Royal Navy Captain Jock Gordon: ".. working together with his colleagues in the squadron, he will be in a difficult and demanding job, and I ask that he be left to get on with his duties and allowed to focus on delivering support to the coalition troops on the ground." The 27-year-old's tour in Afghanistan is a shift from last month, when embarrassing naked photos emerged of Harry in a Las Vegas hotel room playing strip billiards. Harry's previous military posting only lasted ten weeks after information was leaked that he was serving in Afghanistan and his regiment's security was compromised. This time Britain's defence ministry has said they are confident Harry's deployment will not put him or his colleagues at any substantial risk.
