Israeli, US Universities Study Obama's Middle Name: 'Hussein' No Problem with American Students
Researchers in Israel have discovered that US President Barack Obama's middle name has a significant effect on how pro-Israel he is perceived to be by Israeli students. The study conducted by Israel's University of Haifa and the University of Texas found that when Obama was identified with his middle name Hussein, Israeli-Jewish students thought he was less fair to Israel. Arab-Israeli students were found to have more of an affinity with Obama than their Jewish counterparts when the US president's middle name was used, but still felt that omitting the name made Obama seem a more positive individual. The study also found that American students holding either pro-Israel or pro-Palestinian views were not affected e by the use of Obama's middle name.
