Gangnam Style as parenting aid: latest accolade for Psy's global K-Pop hit
The song 'Gangnam Style' has been a global phenomenon, with hundreds of millions of views and thousands of imitations. Now, it seems to have found an unlikely new role -- as a parenting aid. For young father Andrew Tsai and his wife, mealtimes for his 10 month old son Benjamin were an agonisingly slow and frustrating process, as the baby squirmed, fussed and outright refused to eat. However, when he jacks on "Gangnam Style," baby suddenly sits still and gobbles up his dinner. Benjamin's father believes the video shuts down some of Benjamin's "higher brain processes" causing the baby to "accept whatever's put in front of his mouth." Or perhaps it's just that the baby knows killer dance moves when he sees them.
