Breathtaking Fireworks, Laser show in Russia's Vladivostok ahead of APEC Summit
A breathtaking fireworks and laser show wowed Vladivostok residents on Saturday (September 8) night as leaders from the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit (APEC) visited their city. Lights choreographed to music were interwoven with colouful explosions in the nearly 20 minute spectacle. Though the rainy weather wasn't ideal for pyrotechnics, thousands of people flocked to the Pacific port city bay to watch the show. Two barges blasted the pyrotechnics into the air near a bridge crossing the bay, newly-built for the summit. Russian news agency Interfax reported the fireworks and laser display cost Russia 275 million rubles ($8.6 million USD).
